What does the typical session involve?

This is your session. I will work with you to schedule the most convenient time for everyone involved. A typical photo shoot will be approximately one hour in length. This time period will give us plenty of time to capture great shots. I am very laidback and patient with my clients. If your newborn is hungry, I will wait for them to eat. I also realize that it takes some children time to get acquainted with a new face. I’m not going to pressure your child to pose or smile. It is best to capture their normal expression.

Where is the best shooting location?

Location is completely up to you. I can meet you at a local park, at your favorite location, or I can come to your home. I have portable studio lights that I can set up, or I can use natural lighting. Please note there may be an additional charge for your session depending on how far I must travel for your shoot.

What should I wear?

It is best to avoid busy patterns, logo and text clothing, especially with group shots. Simple is best. Wearing solid color shirts, Khakis, and Jeans works great for shots with 2 or more subjects. Try and coordinate clothing colors and styles. As far as the little ones are concerned, they look adorable in anything. However, if your child is not sitting up on his/her own yet, I would recommend only a diaper or bare bottom. Their clothes sometimes take over the cute baby rolls they’ll despise you for capturing later.

What are the proofs and reprints like?

Your Proofs (4x6 in size) will be available approximately 10 days after your session (Weddings typically take a little longer). We will schedule a time to meet around then. Reprint orders require a 50% deposit at the time of ordering. The remaining balance is due when your order is delivered. Your reprints will be delivered/mailed 8-10 days after your order is placed.

What type of equipment is used?

I shoot with a digital SLR along with a 35mm SLR using professional grade film while utilizing a high-quality processing lab. I carry at least 2 cameras with me to ensure a backup, in case I’d encounter equipment problems. My assistant shoots in digital format.

What else and where else do you photograph?

I’m available for social, community and corporate events. I reside in Arizona, but I am more than willing to travel outside the state.

Are gift certificates available?
